About Blunturi & Ananya

Blunturi is the place where practical advice meets the everyday reality of Indian homes. Whether you’re renting your first apartment in Bangalore, fixing up a family flat in Pune, or just trying to make a cramped kitchen feel a little more like yours, this blog is here to help. No glossy magazine perfection — just honest, tried-and-tested ways to make your space work better, look better, and feel more personal.

We cover the stuff that actually matters when you’re building a home: packing a rental survival kit, picking paint colors that don’t betray you under tube lights, organizing a pooja corner in a 1BHK, or navigating the maze of property paperwork without losing your mind. Everything comes from real experience, not Pinterest fantasies.

Meet Ananya

I’m Ananya Sharma, the person behind most of the words you’ll find here. Blunturi started years ago as a tiny corner of the internet where I shared life hacks, productivity tricks, and the occasional recipe that survived my disastrous cooking experiments. Back then, I was bouncing between Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Pune — a serial renter who never stayed anywhere long enough to put down roots.

Somewhere around my fourth leaky faucet and third kitchen with zero counter space, something shifted. I realized that a well-organized, thoughtfully arranged home wasn’t just a nice-to-have. It was essential for sanity. When your surroundings feel chaotic, everything else does too. So I stopped chasing generic “life optimization” and started paying real attention to the spaces I was living in — how they functioned, how they made me feel, and how small, inexpensive changes could transform them completely.

That shift wasn’t a strategy. It was just life. I began writing about what I was learning: how to set up a work corner that didn’t kill my back, how to deep-clean a rental before moving in, how to negotiate with landlords who think “minor repairs” means sticking cello tape on a crack. And people kept telling me they needed exactly this — practical, unfiltered advice from someone who’d been there.

What Blunturi is today

Now Blunturi is a full-hearted exploration of Indian home life. You’ll find articles about:

  • Creating functional, beautiful interiors on a real-world budget
  • Packing, moving, and settling into new cities without losing your essentials (or your mind)
  • Rental-friendly upgrades that won’t cost you your security deposit
  • Understanding the basics of buying property, Vastu, and legal paperwork
  • Making the most of small spaces, shared homes, and family households

I still believe in life hacks — just the kind that make your home work better for you. Because when your space feels right, everything else gets a little easier.

If you’re figuring out how to turn a house into a home, whether rented or owned, you’re in the right place. I’m glad you’re here.
